Susan Heselton

Susan graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Edinburgh in 1990 and subsequently joined the Royal Army Dental Corps. Following a year of vocational training, she practiced as a general dental surgeon.

Susan commenced her postgraduate education in 1999 and was awarded a Master of Science in Periodontics from University College London (Eastman Dental Institute) followed by Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, and Membership in General Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.

Susan left the Army in 2008 to develop a periodontal referral service and pursue her interest in dental implantology. In 2010, she completed a two year course in implant dentistry provided by the Faculty in General Dental Practice (UK). Her main disciplines are non-surgical and surgical periodontal therapy, the placement and restoration of dental implants, bone and soft tissue grafting, and the management of dental implant related diseases.

Susan is a member of the British Society of Periodontology and Association of Dental Implantology (UK).
